Find Free Stock Photos to Enhance Your Marketing
One thing that can help your website content rank and make your marketing materials shine is stock photos. If you are like most businesses you don’t exactly have a professional photographer around to take new pictures for every piece of content you post and most images you find online will cost you a lot for one time use. Finding a reliable free stock photo site will be your bread and butter as you turn out new content for your site. Before using any photo, however, make sure that you look into what the restrictions on use are and that you know what that means.
Our Favorite Free Stock Photo Sites
No matter what kind of stock photo you need these sites can help you. The best thing about these sites is that they are constantly updating and have plenty of great images for your content.
1. Pexels
Pexels is a great site not just for a free stock photo but also for a free stock video. All stock options on the site are listed under a Creative Commons Zero (CC0) license. Pexels has done a great job at tagging all of their content and can be easily found in their search bar. A free stock photo here can range from more of a business focus to cat photos so you should be able to find an image for any project.
2. Unsplash
Unsplash is a free stock photo site that has one of the biggest selections I’ve found. This site updates fairly frequently and has something for everyone. The Unsplash team does a good job and displaying the best of their new submissions on the front page and is a great place to find the best free stock photo for you. All images are released for free under a Creative Commons Zero (CC0) license.
3. Burst
A product of Shopify, Burst has a free stock photo for every entrepreneur. This site is, however, only mostly under a Creative Commons Zero (CC0) license. Shopify has provided a great free resource here but many of their images are still for sale under their own license. This source for a free stock photo might not be at the top of your list because only some of them are free but all pictures are taken in house for specific products. Everything from beard oil to sneakers are available here and would be extremely useful to a start-up business.
4. Pixabay
Pixabay is also a great resource for more than just a free stock photo. This site also includes free graphics and vector illustrations. Every free stock photo released here is under a Creative Commons Zero (CC0) license.
5. Gratisography
When you need a free stock photo that is a little silly or fun, Gratisography is the place to go. All images are released under a Creative Commons Zero (CC0) license and every one can show your businesses fun side.
